traditions of Ireland. Our Celtic Band border designs use celtic knots as
the basis of the design. Celtic knots fall into four categories: Animal Interlace
Designs: These designs often represent men and animals intertwined and are
believed to represent relationships of men to women, hunters to their prey
or others. Circular Knots: Circular designs can represent the cycles of life
or eternity and are seen as a sign of unity. The “endless” quality
of Celtic knots might symbolize time without end, possibly because the look

Knots: Square knots are known as “shield knots,” These knots are
thought to offer protection from evil spirits.
