What Is A Special Event Document or Certificate?

View Document & Certificate Designs
Documents and Certificates are One Of A Kind, Custom & Personalized Prints created to Honor Special Events.
Document can be used in lieu of a Guest Book. They are traditional for many cultures.

Choose a document or certificate design that is representative of your personal style.
Documents and Certificates can be created to coordinate with a celebration or home decor.

View Vows and Verses
The first paragraph on a certificate is generally a couple's wedding vows, favorite poem or verse.
The second paragraph on a certificate states the names, date and location of the event.

Signature Lines
The following are estimates.
Certificates with less than 10 signature lines are usually 9" x 12".
An 11" x 14" Certificate can usually hold 10-25 signature lines.
Up to 50 signature lines can usually fit on a 16" x 20" document.
We can fit about 250-300 signature lines on a 24" x 36" document.

The signature lines are penciled in lightly after the document is printed.
You should erase them after your guests have finished signing the document.
We recommend using a white Sanford Magic Rub eraser to erase the pencil lines after the event.
They can be found at any Staples or Office Depot office store, and only cost a dollar or two.
DO NOT USE A PINK ERASER. It will stain the paper.

What Can I Expect After I Order?

A few days after you have submitted the order we will send a digital proof so that you can review your font, monogram and other design choices. Proofing will continue until the design meets with your approval.

Please send us an email with any applicable wording for the certificate at any time after the order has been submitted.
You can either type this information directly into an email, or send us a Microsoft Word document containing the information.

Upon approval of the proof and submission of payment, the certificate will be printed and shipped.

For Use at the Celebration

If you are displaying your certificate on an easel you will need to mount it on heavy weight Poster Board or Foam Core so that it has a stiff backing. Please try to avoid the use of acidic tapes, glues and mounting adhesives. It is best to hinge your certificate with acid free tapes.

Many people take the certificate to their rehearsal dinner and have attendants, parents, officiant and other witnesses sign at that time.

Framing & Care

Before framing your certificate erase the fine pencil lines using a soft Eraser.
We recommend using a white Sanford Magic Rub eraser to erase the pencil lines after the event.
They can be found at any Staples or Office Depot office store, and only cost a dollar or two.
DO NOT USE A PINK ERASER. It will stain the paper.

When choosing materials for framing your document consider Archival alternatives.
When you hang your document in your home it is best to keep it out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
