We have found that you should include signature lines for about 75% of the number of guests that you expect. It is not necessary to include signature lines for everyone, since couples will sign together.
The signature lines are penciled in lightly after the document is printed. You should erase them after your guests have finished signing the document.
You should lay the document on a large flat table in a relatively low traffic area. Your guests should sign the document left-to-right across the document. By signing left-to-right across the document, the columns will be even at the bottom at the end of the event.
Documents and certificates are shipped rolled in a hard plastic tube. When they are received, they should be taken out and laid on a flat surface. They should uncurl themselves within a few hours. A warm iron may be used on the back of the document if needed.
The type of paper used depends on the product we are printing. Seating charts and Wedding Documents and Certificates are printed on a Somerset watercolor paper. For the remainder of our products, we print them on a pearlescent or matte finished, 107# cover, heavy-weight cardstock.
Once we receive the order form, we will send you an initial proof within 1-2 business days. You may reply to the email containing the proof with any changes that you would like to see made. Alternatively, you may call us at (518) 707-3627 with changes.
You're not obligated to purchase anything after placing an order. If you do not wish to proceed with an order, you can simply ignore the initial email we send with your proof, or you may reply with an email stating you are not interested in continuing with your order.
View your proofs online by visiting the My Account link at the top of each page. Proofs are also sent via email as an image attachment.
Most people will be done within 2-4 business days. Some others will only take a day, and still others will take two weeks. The main factor determining how long it will take is how quickly you reply to proofs with changes.
The easiest way is to simply reply to the emails we send. Please specify exactly what you would like changed and we will reply as soon as possible with an updated proof. You may also send and email to custserv@documentsanddesigns.com with changes.
Custom illustrations are available upon request and when time permits. If there is an additional fee, we will notify you.
Shipping times vary depending on the season and products you order, but we try to ship all orders out within 2-3 days of approval of your order. Orders are shipped from New York.
Absolutely! We are more than happy to accommodate your request, regardless of the situation.
For late and last minute orders, we recommend using UPS Second Day or UPS Next Day services. We can even do Saturday morning deliveries if necessary.
Generally, from proofing to printing, it takes between 3 days to a week for an order to be completed. However, if you find that you need your order sooner, we can proof, print, and ship your order in the same day.
